You need to be age-verified and have the adult option checked as one of your Preferences to get to an adult spot. I recommend meeting people at adult locations to get that little bit of additional feeling of security about who it is you are playing with online. It's not foolproof by any means, as teens can get a hold of their parents' identity information and submit it, but it's one step above no check at all.
